This newly renovated 4 bedroom 3 bathroom beach home offers guests the luxury of beach life with a light hearted flair. This beautiful, pet friendly, Key Lime Green beach home with pool can sleep up to 12 people. As you enter the first floor of this two story home, the inviting décor brings the soothing, tropical color palette indoors for an ambiance that will help you unwind.
The fully stocked kitchen, which has been updated with new granite countertops and complementary backsplash creates an atmosphere that adds to the flair of any culinary experience. Just beyond the kitchen is the living room. The calming color scheme and the ample amount of seating makes the living room a great space for family gatherings whether it be for one and all or movie night for two.
Venture outside and upstairs to the second floor of this beautiful beach home. Mermaid's Playground has a living and dining room on each floor. The layout is open and great for large families and groups. The master bedroom as well as the second and third bedroom have king sized beds. The fourth bedroom has two twin beds and there are also two pull out beds for extra accommodations. This property has been arranged for maximum efficiency and space to give you and your pet the comfort and luxury you deserve when staying at our beach home.
This beach home has a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom down stairs and a 2 bedroom 1 bath upstairs. Access to the 2nd level is outside via stairway.
Enjoy the use of four bikes, 4 beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, pool floats and a pull cart. The beach is just 53 steps away. Coming back from the beach, throw your flip flops in the flip-flop bucket and rinse off the beach sand in our private outdoor shower.

"There are beach towels! - We had a great stay at mermaids playground. Very close to the beach/town, was perfect for a brisk walk. Although advertised as no beach towels being provided upon arrival we found that there were beach towels from previous guests, which was a great surprise! Heated pool was awesome, would definitely recommend!"

"Winter get away - House is perfect, i love the set up, the location, and the pool area, while we were not able to use the pool the entire stay because of cold weather, this would be the perfect vacation spot when weather warms up. "Very clean and spacious 2 story home. The beach walkway is right across the street, but due to trees and other houses there is not a view of the beach. The pool was big and warm and clean. Lots of beach furniture. The listing said no beach towels, but there were many to be found. The house was even nicer and cuter than in the photos. I can’t think of anything negative to report."

"Great location near the beach, the house had everything we needed from pool toys, tons of beach towels and toys, cleaning supplies and bedding. The house had a great layout and was perfect for our large group. The teens had the second floor with an outside entrance and their own kitchen and bathroom which worked great with the adults and young kids on the first floor. Highly recommend!!"

"Beautiful, Perfect Getaway - We are obsessed with this property. Everything about it was so smooth sailing. The guest documents perfectly covered everything we needed to know. The property was beautifully maintained and laid out. Literally steps from the beach which was so beautiful, but also close to restaurants, and not a long drive to Daytona where we met for a church convention every day. Just the most fantastic place we could’ve found. Didn’t want to leave. I will note for any potential visitors that there is a long list of rules that may seem overwhelming when you receive them after booking, but they are ones that just have to do with proper respect as a guest anyway. Honestly we can’t say enough about this place and want to come back next year and rent it again for our yearly church trip."

"Perfect Family Reunion Beach House - We will long remember the wonderful time we had at Mermaid’s Playground! With just steps to the beach, a heated pool, and a short drive to Flagler Avenue, the location provided everyone with a variety of options for enjoyment. The convenience and comfort of the rental were all we had hoped for. Particularly nice was the oversized patio, a great place to talk and have grilled catch! On a side note Great Ocean Condos is very overwhelming with all the emails and documents and all the ways you could get billed for extra this and extra that. "Best vacation stay ever - I could not believe how nice of a stay this house is. With 3 king sized bedrooms everyone had room to have privacy when need be. No one had to share a bedroom or bathroom with any other person staying in my group. And with two full size fully equipped kitchens and a grill outside not only was the feasting excellent but every cheif had their own space. All of this made our stay fell like we was at home.
The washer and dryer was a life saver as none of us had packed enough clothes. And the hot water on demand was a great touch as far as I was concered. Not once did anyone in our party ever have a cold shower or have to wait for a shower. But none of this is what made this house the best. The very short walk to the beach was one of my favorite things. I started two of my days here walking along the beach front while the sun came up, what a treat. Another nice touch was the bicycles for the beach, I found myself enjoying the morning one day just riding up the beach. And afterwards taking a shower in the outdoor shower. A first for me but it was great to get all the sweat and sand off.
The privacy fence that sorround the heated pool, grill and outdoor entertainment area is nice. We all enjoy swiming and talking under the warm Florida sun in our little private backyard.
This house really offeres alot and I will be sure to book it every time I come back to Florida.

"Home Away From Home - The pictures don't do this place justice. We felt so relaxed during our time in New Smyrna because it felt like we were home. The beach is so close, it might as well say "ocean front". The heated pool was great for night swimming. Having access to a grill, bikes, beach wagon to haul the provided beach chairs was a huge plus. I highly recommend staying at this property."

"Nice beach house - House was as described and our family of 8 adults and 4 kids were very comfortable. House was very clean and working with the management company was very good they are professionals. We loved the bikes and all the beach toys, boogy boards 4 or 5 and the pop up to give us some shade and plenty of chairs. The beach wagon was a nice touch as it made if much easier to get everything to the beach and back. Beach was clean and the waves were the biggest I have ever seen thanks to a hurricane several hundred miles East. New Smyrna is a nice little beach town with a very safe feel to it. Can't wait to get back"

"Excellent property for vacation with our children and our young grandchildren - This property was updated with amenities that added a nice touch to our stay. Examples included king size beds in 3 bedrooms and bunk beds in the 4th bedroom for the kids; a beautiful pool with pool toys and nice pool furniture; beach accessories such as a canopy, wagon, cooler, and ample beach towels; nice quality bathroom towels; tvs in all the common areas and the bedrooms as well as ample parking. The property was very clean with 2 kitchens stocked with nice accessories and utensils. The beach access is a few yards away. Perfect beach for young toddlers. We would definitely stay again."

"Best of both worlds! Great local Community! - We were looking for someplace that was 100 yards from the beach, yet had a pool for some private time, and parking for at least four vehicles. This IS that place. The accommodations are top notch, from the bedding, to the furnishings, right down to the artwork and kitchen accessories, not to mention WIFI and ROKU TV's. This is an up and down double unit, with both spaces nearly identical in layout, with the upper unit having a nice view of the ocean. The beach is literally less than 100 yards from the front door. Normally, we have found that rentals with excellent beach proximity rarely have a pool. This pool area is newly refurbished with excellent seating and entertaining area, perfect for a group of adults, or a family with small children. Lastly, the area doesn't have the same feel as typical crowded beachfront communities. This is less commercialized, with down home, friendly people, and excellent long term restaurants and taverns, who are in it for the long haul. It certainly warrants a repeat performance for us!"

"Amazing Beach House in New Smyrna - This is a fantastic beach house just steps from the beach. It was clean and comfortable with everything that we needed for our stay. There was a heated pool with a great privacy fence and outdoor shower. We walked on the beach daily but also rode bicycles (included with the stay) around town. The beach house was an easy bicycle ride to Flagler Avenue and our favorite, Flagler Tavern. There was more than enough room for us and I will definitely plan a return trip with a larger group. I was most thankful for having all of the necessities provided during the stay as well as the cleanliness of the house. It was easily accessible from the main road and surprisingly quiet and secluded from the front. We saw several people walking and biking close by, but felt like we had a good amount of privacy while being able to access the beach easily. I felt safe and relaxed the entire time. I highly recommend Mermaid's Playground."

"Heated Pool AND The Beach?! Hello?! I Love You! - This house was awesome! It was 50 steps one way to the beach in the am and about 1 out my back bedroom door to the private heated pool in the evenings - where there were plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas and a BBQ grille. What more could you ask for? It's freshly painted a cheery lime green color, welcoming you when you pull up (also parking for 5). It was cutely decorated and smelled great when we set foot inside. The kitchens are new (yes kitchens - plural - one upstairs and one down). There's plenty of the little things like paper towels, toilet paper, soap, detergent - even dryer sheets, its great if you get in late (which we did). The beach was amazing! And the house is equipped for it. There were like 4 beach cruiser bicycles, boogie boards, small easy-to-carry lawn chairs - almost anything you can think of needing. We were a party of 9 (two families) - and the house provides enough space to be together and get a break from one another. My kids had a great time and protested leaving. Can't blame them.
We will definitely visit again. Loved New Smyrna Beach!!"

"A Great Find - Mermaid's Playground's 2 condos were great for our family gathering of 10. Meeting in Florida from Michigan and Colorado is a little risky in January because of the uncertain weather, so we loved our private heated pool!! As it turned out we had great weather so we also spent a lot of time at the beautiful beach which is right down the hill.
Mermaid's Playground was very well furnished with 2 wonderfully stocked kitchens. We especially appreciated the great supply of beach towels.
The property managers were great to work with.
We all look forward to returning!"
